Gull Lake: More Memories
One summer Ontario Hydro were cutting down trees near our cottage to clear the hydro line. They neatly piled up the logs and offered them to us if we needed firewood. Fred, our good fiend of the family, who was visiting from Switzerland carried some of the logs over and we created an outdoor dining area. Everyone had a log for their plate, another for their wine or juice glass and others served for salads, candles and flowers. Shorter logs were used as seats. It created a wonderful "al fresco" dining experience.
