The Artek showroom is on two levels, the larger space being on the second floor. In addition to Aalto's classic furniture and glass, there are textiles and many smaller objects, such as plastic trays, placemats, napkins and things for the home, most featuring patterns from Aalto's textiles.
Artek has been bought by Vitra, a Swiss family owned company that has collected, and is marketing, some of the best and most famous pieces of furniture. Unfortunately this is more a Vitra showroom than it is a showroom of Aalto's products. Vitra makes miniature models of famous pieces of furniture that it sells for many hundreds of dollars. The showroom is filled with these as well as furniture and accessories that Vitra controls.
